Rear brake Proportioning valve
Is this what I'm looking for? ( the bit in the middle, it feeds the rear)
Also For the flexi brake hoses, this bit on the donor goes to the caliper is it a concave fitting so i know what euroquip parts to buy? |

Nope, the bit you need is only found on pre abs cars. You don't have to fit one from a Sierra, I am sure other cars use them. If you look in my build diary - www.deepfolly.co.uk you will see what one looks like. It is about 40mm diameter and maybe 60mm long, it is tubular in shape and has a 10mm fine thread fitting at each end. I can't remember where it was fitted in the donor car, my donor had ABS so I had to buy a valve off ebay. It cost me a tenner.
Hope that helps. Enoch |

Local scrappy James.....
10x1 mm is the thread size, differences in the pipe end are made with op1 or op 2 concave or convex.

Which way round?
Enoch - what way round does the valve go? from looking at the diagram on the ford microcat, it is the opposite way to what you have it?

The pressure reducer fitted to the Ka in the rear brake line is ideal and much smaller than the original Sierra one and is easily placed out of sight in the rear feed line (and there are plenty lying around in the scrappy).
