Chassis Wish List
Hi all,
Just a quick one. Anyone know what metals and qtys are needed to build chassis. Looking to get supplies but the qtys always seem diff when I calculate. Anyone have a pre written wish list that they have used. Many thanks James Last edited by jateu01 : 28th April 2011 at 11:27 AM. |

i've got it down to 4 lengths of 25x25 and 2 lengths of 20x20 and i have tiny ammounts left over, I later realised when making the front frame there is an ammendment with the lengths of FF2 and FF3 they are 259.5 i think and the book says less.

This any good?...
James,
I have a spreadsheet that might be of help to you. Have a look here: http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showp...23&postcount=9 In this thread: http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showt...6923#post56923 Let me know if you want a copy. EDIT: I can't remember if the costs on the snippet are those I paid. Seems mighty expensive. However, I do remember the steel costing alot more than I anticipated. Steel isn't cheap and it has more than doubled in price over the last few years. Last edited by eSteve : 28th April 2011 at 02:01 PM. Reason: Add bit about cost |
