Default gauges

Having a bit of a brain miss fire on this, but with the gauges on the dash it is possible to wire all the earths together to make it nicer and then the live separately into the plugs or am i just talking through the back of my head

You could use one earth point but not one wire as earth.
Take each earth and put a ring terminal on and fix these to earth.

could the same be done with SAME COLOURED wires from other gauges ie tie up all the same wires of the same colour on the gauges and bring to 1 point

So long as you use the same colour for earth its no problem all the wires can go to one earth unless there are lots of them and another point may be better.

I am no sparky but dealing with cars all day that what I see in the engine bay etc.
