Default It all fits.

Had a few hours to play with my chassis mule over the weekend. I was playing about with the engine and box trying to get my head round placement of everything. The engine is a 302 v8 ford with downdraught weber type injection system and the gearbox is a 265 getrag <bombproof>. The engine only comes 2" higher than the top chassis rail, so even with the injection on i dont need a bonnet bulge. Lengthwise the crank damper just sits over the first crossmember ,widthwise the engine is 4" narrower than the rover so no problems with the steering shaft, also no problems with the pedal box which can be floor mounted. The exhaust ports point about 2" under the the top chassis rail so no problems there. This really is a compact unit and i am chuffed it all goes in will post so pics when someone explains how to do it.

Thats great Bob all you have to do now is buy some top quality body work to dress your top quality chassis and you'll ready for IVA in 3 weeks.

The above engine is dressed up with deep sump and tall rocker covers, my unit is only 16/17" tall with a 6" sump. port face side to side is 17" so even at the front where the chassis is narrow i still have 5" of clearance each side of engine. It actually looks a bit lost in there.
