Default MX5 Donor - What mileage and price?

I am starting to look for a donor vehicle (1.8 mx5 130bhp) and seen a couple for sale but just wondering what are peoples opinions on the maximum mileage and price to pay for one with a bit of mot and tax left on it (so I can get it home)?

I have seen one locally for £875 with 118K on it in Black with rear spoiler and leather (but drivers seat is ripped). Is this good for the money or a bit less after haggling???

Obvioulsy unwanted parts will be sold so does anyone know what MX5 parts are desirable for selling on?

I wouldn't worry too much about mileage, the engines are fairly bombproof.
And remember if you're looking at imports the odo is in kms, not miles.
Just look out for the usual stuff you would for any car (milky oil, smoke, rumbling bearings etc, etc).
A fair bit of tappet noise is normal when cold, but should stop after a few minutes.
The 1.8 fetches a premium over the 1.6, and £875 sounds reasonable if you're looking at the bargain bucket end. All depends on condition though.

You should be able to sell most of the bits you don't use without too much trouble.
