Fuel Line
Just wonder if this stuff is good enough to use for the fuel line all the way from the tank to the engine as I remember my donor's being metal? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Meter-Fuel-L...xgy_auto_img_b
Also does using one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bikeit-co-uk...=pd_sim_auto_3 remove the need for one the chunky fuel filters like what was on my donor? |

I,ve used the copper micro bore ( used for central heating I believe, available from B&Q ) for my fuel pipe from tank to engine with a little bit of fuel spec hose at either end to join to the tank & carb with a similar fuel filter you have mentioned inline, tho mine is a glass/metal filter which allows it to be opened & cleaned & re used ,
Microbore pipe is approx £10 from B&Q Fuel filter was approx £6 off ebay. cheers andy

so is there any reason why I can't use rubber all the way as I recon 3m will be plenty which would only cost £6 and I wouldn't need any specialist tools to bend/flare etc?

Hi
Do not see anything wrong with this stuff. I had initially used cooper pipe for c/heating like Andy but then changed it to the proper cooper fuel line. I could see a difference betwween the two types of cooper. The B&Q looked thin and felt brittle ,which raised my concern as with vibration could crack it. The proper cooper fuel one from the motor factor did not cause me any concern, as it felt heavy and easy to work with! Hope this is of some help! |

Cool I'll give this stuff a go I think as it looks like it'll be easier to lay than copper. Is it acceptable to things like cable ties to attach it to the chassis or is there something else I should be using that's considered more secure?

Thought that would be the case but wanted to check. Any seen a better deal than this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3501420921... 4.m1438.l2649 for them anywhere? Also should I be using self tapping screws to attach them? And finally how many have other people ended up using roughly?
