Default EDIS Wiring

I think i have everything I need to get my engine sparking.
Looking at the wiring diagram I need a screened cable for the VR sensor to the EDIS module.
I have the donor loom so I plan to extract the VR sensor wires from that but how does the screening terminate.
On the EDIS diagram the screening goes to pin 7 of the edis module?

If your donor already had the vr sensor and edis then you shouldn't need to worry about it to get it sparking. If your modifing the loom I'm not sure, twin turbo would be the best person to answer as he seems to know everything! I'm in the process of picking mine apart so I can try to take some pic tonight for you though.

The donor didn't have edis it was the hybrid electronic ignition that still had a rotor driven distributor but with some electronics to.

I plan to pick the vr sensor wire out of the loom, assuming this will be screened but dont' know what to look for and how to terminate the end of screened cable.

Cheers

M

Mike

Screened cable can be bought cheaply from somewhere like maplins, you should earth the screening at one end only (usually the plug end)

Cheers

Mike when you get to the EDIS end of the cable strip the outer insulation back to expose the shielding. Twist it up like you would a normal cable, and solder it to the wire coming out of pin 7. Seal inside heat shrink and all should be well.

You will also need to do the same with the shielded cable that goes to the Megajolt.
