Smile Gtd40

A good friend of mine has bought a GTD40 which hasnt turned a wheel since 1989.The car has a GTD chassis number but no registration.
How difficult is it to get the SVA papers.

If it has no V5 then its SVA for your friend.
The GT40 has much less sharp edge problems than a 7 but are generally expensive to build well.
The biggest of the problems is to prove engine age for emissions if it has an American V8.
Other problems are windscreen wiper sweep, seat belt mounting strength and correct height and rear view mirrors.

A friend round the corner from me is building one from an old chassis and body kit, no build difference to any kit car and it will look and go well when complete.
A Car Builder Solutions air con is a must as are good wheels and a paint job.
