I made a manifold for my zx6r carbs last month.
Probably took 4 hours.
ON a peice of a3 I drew out the port spacing and carb spacing I could them work out the cut angle for the pipes, each branch was two bits of tubing.

I used my rage saw to cut the angles and bought a laser cut plate for the inlet from fast dan on locost builders, I also bought his fluro lined tube and hose clips and he also supplied the tube material for a bit extra so it probably cost me 20 for the plate, 20 for the silicon fluro hose and hose clips and 10 for the material.

Check my build thread for piccies.
Use a bit of wood with the holes cut for the tube at the correct spacing as a basic jig tack it together the fully weld and the jig should keep it all in the line.
