Water system
Hi there people just wondering what people are using for the water system can you fit a top fill radiator in behind the nosecone so it can be filled up from example an austin mini or is it necessary to use a header tank any help would be much appreciated

Most people seem to use a polo radiator and a seperate header/filler tank.
There's not a lot of height to fit a radiator with a cap under the nose cone, and I guess you'd probably still want/need an expansion tank anyway. It might be a bit inconvenient having to take the nosecone off to get to the rad cap too. |

I was maybe thinking that I could fit the rad between engine and nose cone so it could be filled

You can fit a rad in the engine bay just in front of the engine but its a tight fit and I used one from a Ginetta G20 that was used for the donor.

not top fill but a merc 190e rad is well worth a look its tiny and will cool a 2.3l engine in a car that size
core is 300x300x42 iirc will fit in front of my engine or in nosecone i have had a bit of feed back that its man enough for race/comp use so cant be bad prices are reasonable and mounings look easy to adapt, no fan switch to plug up and there are tags on the sides to mount an eletric fan. |
