Default Raising the bonnet, nose cone, and scuttle.

What are the downsides of fitting the bonnet, scuttle and nose cone 25mm higher on two pieces of 25mm box. Does it look weird? I understand that standard side panels won't be useable. The bonnet in the standard position will just clear the engine I'm using now it's lowered 40mm but I'd like a bit more clearance. Thanks

It will raise the nosecone so the lower front chassis rail will be visible plus it will just look fat and lardy, things like aeroscreens will be higher so if you are a short arse like me then it becomes a windscreen you can't see through..

Hi Chris

Just ignore the very ignorant reply of the last post

Have a good old read Enoch's build blog ( A very much missed former builder )

http://www.deepfolly.co.uk/index.html

A darn good read.

Enoch raised the height of his scuttle to gain some extra clearance.

If you ask me, Enoch's build turned out well & not at all out of proportion

I know it's not exactly as per your proposal but it may give you some inspiration.
Dare say with a little bit of creative bodywork, anything is possible
