Heh, some kit cars use a piece of 3 or 5 mm plate for headlight mounts. So any tube should be better than that...

yep ...mine are crushers...just make sure wall thickness is around 2mm otherwise
it does not crush uniformly.

I have a load spare from making mine. It was from a clothes hanging rail that was being thrown into scrap pile at work. Let me know if you still want some?

thanks for the offer. i've got some round tubing that i'll make them with this weekend but if they look rubbish i may send you a message.
