Change of colour
Hi All
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to change the colour on my fibreglass nose cone by the resin gel rather than respraying it? Cheers |

You could vinyl wrap it.

Yes, it is possible but not an easy process and a lot of elbow grease will go into that.
But, why? Just go for a quality 2 pack paint which is in anyway far superior than gelcoat and simple to apply. |

Hi
I am afraid you can not get 2 pack paint in uk anymore. If I could have painted it I would but the type of paints avalible now is not really for home use, unless you have got the proper condition for it! I would still be interested to know how I can change the colour? Cheers |

Someone else said there is no more 2k paint but we still use it and its available on line. It might get phased out but is still available at the moment.

2 pack paint thankfully is very much alive still in fact my car is in process of being painted with it at the moment.
Many of the large bodywork places who do insurance repairs have moved over to water based paint for the main colour (but still 2 pack for the primer and clear coat- work that out) but a lot of the smaller places who concentrate on repairs for the trade have stuck with and swear by 2 pack paint. |
