Red face 1.7 vct puma engine

Hi there, does anybody know how I would get a ford puma 1.7 engine to fit a type 9 gearbox please ? The engine is an absolute peach, and when the v tec cuts in its amazingly quick. I would love to put this engine into my roadster, but i am not sure if they can be easily coupled together ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !
