Talking Registration Number

Just a little encouragement for everyone. I have just been to my local DVLA office (Cardiff). It took 25 minutes to walk out with a new registration number for my car. For some reason they didn't charge the registration fee either. Most importantly not a Q plate. Quite a relief after a lot of horror stories of it taking weeks to wait for a number.

A bit of tweeking to do, then of for a drive.

I got the headlights from Stoneleigh kit car show. Pretty sure they were from Staffordshire vehicle components. They measure 5" across the lens and 6" across the bowl. Hope it helps.

Cheers.

Didn't you need to trailer the vehicle there for a vehicle vin inspection?
I had to wait 4 weeks for a appointment after paying the registration fee and tax disc. Had to trailer the vehicle to DVLA Birmingham, unload it for them to check the chassis vin, all that Hastle for a 5 min check that was already checked and would be a instant fail at the IVA

Anyways congratulations, it's a great feeling when you eventually screwing the plates on!

I was lucky with that, apparently Cardiff (which is my nearest) are one of the few that don't need to see the vehicle. It does seem a bit pointless when you have been through all the IVA performance.

First drive yesterday, bloody fantastic!!
