Has anyone found the book wingstays to be incorrect?
I got a kit of pats from Spike about 2 years ago, have had 3 attempts at welding them up but the bottom mount is way way to low.
The dimensions all seem right from the drawings but it's not fitting together. TT

i used some pre made ones off the bay with some kitparts flat tops but they will need work to make fit the fabby/saturn/nts ones as the cut outs don't line up

I gave up again and moved onto somethign else.
If I had 8 hands to hod the bits whilst adjusting, measuring and welding...... Then it would be done. Come back to it and do it from scratch in a few weeks me thinks... TT

It's pretty easy to do with 2 hands: first mitre cut the 2 tubes and tack together at a straight angle. Loosely bolt the two plates with holes into their places, then you've got just one plate and the tubes to hold. Wiggle and bend into place. Grind off the bottom of the tubes to sit nicely on the bottom mounting plate. Mark the place where the longer plate welds the top mount one. Tack everything together, adjust, weld, and Bob's your uncle.
Also, the book design makes both wing mounts come out almost symmetrically on the same height, but I was able to adjust the position so the front strap is ~5 degrees to the front from the top of the wheel and the other one is much further down by just rearranging the book parts.
