Not going well at all.
Some of the numbers are not actually what I first thought and others still nothing. I don't think I can remove anymore metal as there will be nothing left. Are there any other options than another engine? Is there any database I could use to enter what think is the number is to help confirm? |

Or if that fails multiply your inside leg measurement by you waist size

Its not actually the displacement that I need. Its the actual engine ID number.
Every engine has a different one. |

Dont know how else you would get the number if the etching didnt bring them up. Maybe track the seller back to the original V5 if possible?
Cheers Stot

The seller didn't have to v5, just the other side (v5c I think it is) but I do have the car registration.
I was thinking could possibly try contacting the dvla but no doubt the engine number wasn't changed when the engine swap was done. Oh bugger. |

Does anyone know if there is any kind of database where I can enter what I think is the engine number to confirm it is correct?
