Decent flying jacket is the price of a set of shocks and then some.
Taken off blind with map in window and safety pilot in right seat, friendly with owners of Peterlee center and had rides in their jump plane, nice piece of kit. Love IMC flying done lots in cloud at night, real butt clencher, lucky to never had a you know what landing, its getting expensive to fly just for fun, hoping to do twin rating before winter set's in.

Been a long time since I was there have they still got double echo (G-PLEE) used to be frightning sitting in the open door on take off but clenching till about 2000ft when I knew I could do something about falling out the door although there was one pilot malcolm that used to like to nose forward them kick a little left rudder and float people out the plane Only happened to me once at 9000ft then everytime he flew I didn't ended up landing in the middle of a football pitch about 2 miles away trying to stop the match at about 300ft then some nice people have me a lift back Way I see it is you came into the world kicking and screaming why not go out the same way |

Spoke to ian and Paul a few times,he bought a new plane and to do the rating would be lots of money and also need Cpl but that's no probs, think I will just stick to sunday jaunts around the northeast as its easier.
