Default MX5 Driveshaft Angle

I'm currently trying to finalize the transmission mount on the haynes and have a question I'm hoping someone can answer.

Everything I've read about driveshafts say you want the trans and diff mounting points to be parallel to each other. However with the mx5 diff being pointed up 3 degrees, that would mean the transmission would have to point down 3 degrees... which isnt really possible. So what do you do? At the lowest point I feel like putting my shifter, I'm only at 0 degrees on the trans according to my angle gauge.
