Default Chassis Plate

I have just made up my chassis plate and attached it to my bulkhead under the bonnet. From reading the iva manual it looks like I can get away with just including the vin number and the manufacturers name.

My question is... Am I the manufacturer ie David bolam or do I put haynes roadster or saturn roadster?

If I put the manufacturer as David bolam will this show on the v5 as a DavidBolam roadster or a haynes / Saturn roadster???

I'm confused as I haven't got the forms to register for an iva etc yet.

I know skov put skov on the chassis plate but will it be officially a skov roadster?

Thanks

David

Saturn MX5 Based Chassis, Limited Slip Diff & 2.4 Quick Rack.

Build cost.... seems to be spending more on tools than car bits at the moment! (they will be handy in the future though).
Car iva'd and passed 15/08/2014. Finished weight 572kg.

Hi Dave ....I just put my name next to manufacturer, it also has the advantage of being able to change design specs if you have to. (Axle weights in my case)

Yes, unless they've changed the manual since I had my IVA all you need is manufactuer and VIN number.

Manufacturer can be anything you like, within reason (the DVLA won't be impressed if you use anything offensive!).
I think it's usual to use either Haynes, your name, or your nickname.

I put the manufacturer down as 'Skov', and the model as 'Haynes Roadster'.
Don't know why, but the model ended up being blank on my V5, so as far as the DVLA are concerned it's just a Skov.

Draw it on with a pencil first.
