prop catch plates
Just wondering if anyone is using them?
Only ones I've seen don't seem to be wide enough. Is it worth getting some lazer cut? |

I am, supplied by DanST, I think he has a tech drawing for them on his website. I think you'd be daft to run without them, so if you can't get plates to suit your spec, I would get some made up.

Yeah I've seen those, he has them listed on ebay but they don't seem wide enough for the haynes chassis.
How did you mount yours? Do you have a picture? |

I've got a set on my car and they aren't wide enough.
At the front I welded in a piece of inch box either side and bolted the plates too it. At the diff end I cut the plates down, welded to some 19mm box then welded to the chassis. Not pretty but it works Untitled by Series1Landy, on Flickr |

If I were near the beginning of my build I would add 2 sets of 25mm box to the tunnel to bolt the prop catchers onto. As I had the floor on, painted chassis and tunnel side on, I went for the crude way.
If you are going to mod the catchers, danst now does a stainless pair, so don't get them. |
