Default Sierra or Saphire

Is the running gear the same on the saphire as it is the sierra?

I'm thinking hubs/uprights etc.

Just not that many sierras on the go these days.

Yes, the running gear is the same on all Sierras: hatches, sedans, even estates.

Excellent, makes life a bit easier. I had only been hunting for the original Sierras now I can include Sapphires and Estates. Happy days. Now I just have to make the choice of ford or mazda, think I'll stick with ford. Still have to work on the other half though. She loves the idea in theory but there is a long list of jobs I've got to get done first

Mine was a 4x4 estate: couldn't use the front uprights or gearbox.

Back end was fine though. LSD fine
