Fitted the 2.9i but now Magnecor leads?
Well the engine is sat in the chassis, and whilst i was fitting it and lining it up etc i was a lazy git and snapped the Magnecor HT leads connector things, now the HT leads still fit the dizzy but are these white ceramic things needed, i have been intouch with magnecor but no reply after 4 days, so can anyoen help out if they are needed and what they do please.
the pic is of good one, the other broke off where they fit into the dizzy hope you guys dont mind still being on here asking questions on anon Haynes car. i will get to build one one day |

They are EMI supressors, you can quite hapily junk them and have no ill efect to the runnign of the car.

electro magnetic interference....they stop crackling coming out of nearby speakers ie car radio, tv's etc ....caused by the HV ignition spark that emits a particular kind of radio wave.

I doubt you will ever notice, I never did when removing them on my 4b4's..
Some countrys you would be drawn over hot coals and flogged to an inch of your life for polution of the airwaves, mind you would need an anechoic chamber and some sensetive equipment to pick it up! TT
