Default Car Boot Gold.

Got up as Mr Grumpy this morning as had to go to a car boot sale. Don't like 05:00 starts one little bit but we had a mountain of stuff to get rid of. Went for a quick look round to see if there were any Jagster shaped bits for sale. I am a bit broke at the moment and the project has stalled a bit as a result so thought if I could find some bits cheap enough I could make some progress. Happened across an old lady that was selling these:

They are from a rover 75, they are leather, electrically heated and adjusted. All the motors work, they have the limit switches built in and the switches on the side of the seat so only need a +12 and earth to make em work
I will have to rebuild my tunnel to make them fit but I reckon they are perfect for the job. A bit expensive at £10 for the 2, but I can live with that

I have done quite a bit on the front end but now need a set of seals for the calipers before I can finish up there. I will rebuild the tunnel, get the seats fitted and then go back to the bouncy suspension bits. I need some much stiffer coil springs for the front (anybody got any 11 or 12 inch long 400-450lb springs they don't want?) I then need to plumb in the brakes. Was going for a non servo system but have changed my mind as the car is going to be heavier than I originally intended.
That's it for now, will post up some new piccies when a bit more progress has been made.

It was Stickney car boot, the biggest one in our area. It has about 500 cars on a good day and takes a good 4 hours to walk around. Fortunately I found these 2 lanes from where we were parked and I had the van with me. I was really looking for some old beetle front indicators and rear lights, I never expected to find seats there. Back out again now - 6 am Sunday morning
