Default MX5 column and switch gear?

My MX5 donor came with no clocks, switch gear or steering wheel which has thrown up a few problems with loom plugs and mounts. I've now brought the switch gear but I seem to be a bit missing as there is nothing to screw it to, would some body take a pic of their mk1-2 column with the switch gear removed so I can see whats missing please?
Ebay pics show either bare columns or complete items, if I can save £25-40 by not having to buy a 3rd one that would be great.

The switches just slide over the column and the collar of the switch sits on the edge of the tube. There is a hole in the top of the column where a tab in the tightening bracket on the switch gear goes to stop it spinning on the column.

You can see the hole at the top in this picture.
