Default Front upright help

hi all i have the first roadster book coming along well but come to one of those moments with the front top wishbones is i fit as book long tube to front drag link facing up i have restricted movement binds 3/4 up but if i have the link facing down it has full movement am i having a blond moment

Hi,
I don't really understand why you mean buy drag link facing "up" and "down".

The drag link threaded tube on the wishbone should face up, but the drag link bolt into the upright should face down. Long tube of the top front wishbone in the font is correct (that what is setting up the caster angle)

The shock has a 5 inches maximum movement, and it is leaning at 45°, so the maximum vertical movement of the wheel will not be more than 3-4 inches anyway.

many thanks it looks like the boss is facing inwards yours is facing the wheel also i have over that travel so im sure its ok but yout drag link does look higher than mine i will turn the boss 180 deg tomorow and try again

Sounds like you may have fitted them on the wrong side and upside down.

Many thanks all sorted for other users what it was was 2 things the first the mushroom was a quarter a turn out facing the split and not the front but the main reason was the shocks they are 13.5" open the extra travel made it bind even though i relocated the mounts a bit but not a problem will just use an 1" helper spring
