Rack splines
Ok might seem a stupid question but is there an easy way to count splines on a rack .
I got a Toyota corona T170/Carina 2 rack and have tried counting the splines a dozen time and get a different number, they are so bloody fine and my eyes ain't what they used to be.

Push it into clay/blutac/plasticine and then spread it out like a donut to count the splines?
Cheers Stot

Reading glasses? Must be some one around you that needs to use them (and now it seems so do you). Rub the edges of the spines with emery paper so you can see them against the black steel then mark No.1 with a pen and start counting.
