Jenson was at Goodwood on Saturday, Lewis was there yesterday. Justin Law was campaigning a G reg transit van up the hill obscenely fast with a best time of 59 seconds (the hill is 1.16 miles long so work out how quickly that thing was really moving). Mind you its got Jaguar XJ220 power plant and running gear. Nick Heidfeld was driving last years Brawn GP but in Mercedes livery and although the current F1 cars weren't doing timed runs I clocked him at about 44 seconds, he holds the record at 41.6 which he set in 1999. Photos are on the way but got to transfer them all from my travelling lappy to my home lappy and sort through them first, then choose a few of the best then post them. I might even open a photobucket or flickr account, anybody suggest which one is easiest/best?

Right boys and girls, hopefully here are a few selected photos from the weekend.
Picture "1905" is a 1905 Darracq with a 25.4 litre V8 producing 200 horse power delivered through tyres just three inches wide . This car set world, European and british land speed records between 1905 and 1908 reaching speeds of 121 MPH .

Picture "arrows" is self expanatory.

Picture "Citroengt" is the car that Citroen designed in 2008 for the computer game Gran Turismo, this year they decided to chuck an engine into it and opted for a V8. No details other than it produces more than 500BHP!

Picture "fasttranny" is Justin Law's 1990 transit with XJ220 power plant and running gear.

Picture "kenblock" is Ken Block the amazing stunt driver in a WRC Focus four wheel drive, his driving accuracy is incredible. Check out "ken block gymkhana" on youtube.

OK I've signed up with Photobucket and posted a few photos up there, here's the link: http://s813.photobucket.com/albums/z...%20FoS%202010/
I'll add more photos later.

Hi Alga, I reckon he could have shaved another second off his time if he'd removed the roof rack and flashing beacon although he claimed the biggest problem with driving it quickly was corners, it wallowed badly being as it has such a high centre of gravity.

Its certainly a fantastic weekend Chris. The Jim Clark Lotus 38/1 was apparently valued for insurance purposes at somewhere between 40 and 60 million dollars !!

What I love about FoS is you can walk around the cars, talk to the drivers (last year while walking around the F1 paddock I spotted a driver and said to my wife "that's Jochen Mass" and he said " yes it is, how do you do?" and held out his hand, how cool is that?). This year I not only got Stirling Moss' autograph along with Murray Walker's but I managed to get a couple of minutes chat with both, how cool is that? .

Going to have a look at www.goodwood.co.uk now and see if there's any way we can afford the Revival in September .
