Do you give the form to the iva tester? I remember when mine arrived there was something asking for a dealer stamp that the vin had been stamped onto the chassis.

Build cost.... seems to be spending more on tools than car bits at the moment! (they will be handy in the future though).
Car iva'd and passed 15/08/2014. Finished weight 572kg.

No David mine is still chassis only, garage stamping is no problem the form requires vehicle reg and other info, did not read too much of it as it did not make too much sense as to what they wanted in relation to providing vin number.

Got mine back this week.
I have a chassis number but it asks that I get dealer/garage to sign it to verify its been stamped on the chassis and then send it back.
Is this right, surely they can check this at IVA?

Mike

Its probably to go with IVA paperwork and they don't explain that or don't know and are told to put it with the letter.

Yep-agree. I got a load of stuff like that. All to do with final registration. If you build a "kit car" (which we are not) they often require certification of main components used.IVA covers all that in our builds.

Got my VIN through after 3 weeks (which included xmas). Came with forms 'V55/5 - Application for for first tax disc and registration of a used motor vehicle' and 'V627/1 - Built up vehicle report'

The number starts with 'DVLASWA'
