Cheers Guys, I managed to test the bite of mine by lifting the rear of the car on the pallet truck. It seems to require about 25 mm clear movement to prevent the wheels from turning and to allow first gear to engage. However, the clutch plate was already in the engine, so it may change once renewed. The Capri clutch cable about £10 on ebay, so I will get one on order.
I must admit, I hit a build milestone yesterday without even knowing it! Having the rear wheels turn under the power of the engine. I kinda wished I had tightened all the Nylocs. If so I would have maybe given the wheels a bit of a spin! The capri cable appears perfect with the adjuster.

Not sure if it's of help to anyone.
But I made a clutch cable adjuster from a piece of studding, drilled through and a nut with a bit of tube welded on it. Bit of a bodge, but works a treat

Agreed, some adjustment in the cable will probably be required ..... Unless you are having a custom cable made
Sorry if you already know this Nick ..... The original Sierra pedal had a built in automatic cable adjuster built into it. Once the standard cable is fitted to the Roadster all adjustment is lost & you start to fight the free length of the inner cable Davids idea is a decent solution to cable adjustment As Ash pointed out, The 1.3 Capri cable is ideal .... Just the right length, clevis pin eye on one end, ball fitting on the other + a decent adjustable section that will allow adjustment at the bell housing Just thought this may help to get things clear in your mind mate

is there a difference between the Capri MK1 2 3 1600 & 2000 GT OHC Clutch Cable you guys have bought and the Ford Capri MKI 1300 1600 OHV Clutch Cable 68-72 (Item number: 270518956334 ) - seems to the be £2 cheaper than the other.
