Hi, the plenum is the big ally air intake that has the throttle body attached to it at the front you seem to have removed it from the engine already.
unless your car is a carbed version in which case you dont need to worry about it
Ray
ps i did post a pic of a modded one on here ages ago so it is possible if you are dead set on using the engine but you will have hassle

It's defiantly lighter.

torque instead of power
More power than a stock Pinto EFI
More power than any CVH other than an RST
More power than Most 1.8 Zetecs.

All the alloy sumps are a pain.

needs the plenum cut and shut
So does an EFI pinto or a Zetec

and then theres the electrics
Eh? The electrics are simple, definatly simpler than trying to sort bypassing the PATS on a ZETEC Too...

Every engine fitment is going to take a bit of work. I see no reason not to use the DOHC even though If I am honest I hate the bloomin things.

You know they should introduce a law for mocking people with dyslexia.

Joking aside, I hate the DOHC.. I have had a few of them and they usually use water as a consumable.. But they produce good clean smooth power and are tractable.

That will make it easier as you may be able to use the inlet untouched, you will still need to mod the sump and possibly remove some of the bottom of the bellhousing also give some thought to getting the flywheel lightened as it wheighs loads
Ray
even harder to spell dispraxia lol
