Thanks for that. The black certainly looks better than I was expecting. I think black is the way forward! Now all I need decide is 15" or 16".
Is wheel offset an issue on these cars? I think those wheels are ET30 for the 15" version.

You're better off with the 15 inch wheels, that is what the car is designed for and should mean less unsprung weight. I think you need at least 35 offset.

That's a shame about the offsets
Would the wheels foul anything or will they just sit further in than normal? I was thinking about getting the 16's to try and reduce the amount of tyre sidewall and still keep the speedo reading correctly as I'm intending to use the dials from the Sierra. I suppose I could ditch the Sierra dials, get a programmable speedo and use smaller tyres on 15's.

Why would you want to use smaller tyres? Lower profile tyres will have less grip.

The standard tyres on the Sierra are bit balloon-like to look at.....195/65R15 IIRC. I was going to use 16" wheels with 205/55 tyres which would keep the overall diameter almost exactly the same.
I'm just not a fan of huge side walls.

My sierra donor has 14 inch tyres.

So does mine but I think the correct 15" size is 195/65. The 55 profile of the 16" tyre shouldn't be too low to have an adverse affect on handling should it?
When I said standard I meant for the cars that came with 15" wheels.

The stock sizes on the Sierra are in fact 185/70R13 and 185/65R14, so the 15" size that matches best is 195/55R15. People often get 195/50R15 tyres, they make the speedo overread by 3.4%. 195/65R15 would be 6.4% too slow.
