LT77 4wd->2wd

Hi all,
I'm taking the 3.5v8 out of a landrover to use for my engine. The LT77 gearbox that came out is obviously a 4wd box, but I know there is a 2wd version of the LT77.

So, my question is: Does anyone know if they are completely different beasts, or if there's some kind of parts kit to convert one to the other? I've tried googling around but I can't find any definitive information.
