At work we use araldite, but the fuel never comes into contact with the glue in the situation we use it. Maybe best to use a piece of proper rubber hose and a clamp. I recall from previous that if your fuel filler cap is in the boot area it needs to be left open and not closed off although I stand to be corrected.

That makes sense .However I cant seem to find a sensibly priced exterior fitting fuel cap that wont break the bank .All the motorcycle type ones seem to be an arm and two legs |
