That's a nasty nick there Ginge.

Ash must have been mortified. It's bad enough hurting yourself, but being there when someone else is injured is horrific.

Obviously, it's no-ones fault, it's just "One of those things". Bloody painful none the less though.

Just a quick update, I have just spoken with Ash as he was driving down the A303 to drop the car at the show.

He went to CBS and got two lengths of beaded aluminium tube then fitted them and ran the car up to temp, whilst stood in the kitchen.

The upshot being the fan cut in and the rad cap was venting. So as we suspected our hose connection was to blame.

See some of you guys tomorrow at 1pm, I will be the slightly sun burnt one.

Saw them both at the show today, they both seem to be doing well.
i can see why ginge is such a postive person after talking to him.

Youch!! hope your arm gets better that looks awful.
I have a blister on my hand about the size of a £2 coin from leaning on a hot chassis tube this week, idiot! and I thought that hurt at the time but can't imagine what that felt like. I've resisted picking the blister though.

Ironically I read a post on locostbuilders last night when looking up rads about some "beading pliers" that you can get from B&Q put a nice lip on alloy/copper pipe easily.

Heres some links, think you could make these though with an old pair of pliers.
