![]() just had a quick look at the IVA manual and it seems that if it is not lockable then the cap must be tethered to the tank or body......see below
15. A fuel filler cap must positively locate to the filler neck and incorporate an adequate sealing arrangement so that a fuel leak is not possible. 16. The fuel filler cap must either be tethered to the vehicle or be of a lockable type where the key can only be removed when the cap is locked or an automatically opening and closing, non-removable fuel filler cap (Post 0 5 / 2009 vehicles only) so I guess the deck filler would pass if it is tethered in some way. |

![]() Am I the only one who removed the filler pipe with the lockable filler cap off the Sierra with hopes of fitting it to the roadster?

![]() I am using the original filler pipe at present. I have to lift the rear lid to fill it. However it is not the locking cap because it was the locking flap type. It works perfectly well but as I understand things ,if it is inside the 'boot' then the boot must not be covered.
