Well little progress due to being away
Brought back 2 cases of car parts and tools - excess baggage of 115 kg and a charge of $125 not to bad.
Ps. Tools and parts in the states are dirt cheap - check harbour freight tools or Craigslist Detroit and let me know if you would like anything bringing back as I am back there for the next 18 months (4 weeks on 1 week off).

Anyway there has been a change to my plans.
No longer going for Supercharged Zetec - after experiencing Kev's beast I decided to go Nissan Turbo route. Mr Kev has kindly offered his experience so that is certainly a deciding factor.
Was planning on bolting a charger to it but will I walk before I run so to speak...

Arrived back in the UK on Saturday and collected engine/box/ecu yesterday from a nice chap in Preston

Also got my wheels in for refurb should have them back later today.
Wheels before

Bolt on power

A nice dirty lump. Can't wait to get it cleaned up

Well my plans to spend at least a few on hours on the build on my home week have since been halted.
New bathroom on its way tomorrow so today's task is ripping out the current one!

Well I was home for 2 weeks and managed to do nothing at all.
Away for another 5 weeks now.....

It's not for the motivation to do anything, it's just simply finding time.

Just keep reminding yourself that there is no hurry, enjoy the build, and planning the build!

Well I now have approx 90% of all the bits I need.
Just a speedo, exhaust and some minor electrics required.

Oh, and about 300 hours of free time to put it all together.....

Happy days

No updates to shout about, as mentioned previously I 'think' I have all the parts to finish the build (maybe the occasional oversight though).
Promised myself I will find a few hours over Xmas to tidy garage (again) and crack on with the car.
Target 1 to get a rolling chassis.
Target 2 to get brakes plumbed in.

Due to space restrictions in the garage I have a few questions regards to the build sequence. Does anyone suggest a dedicated sequence to save fitting/removing parts?

I would like to get some bodywork pieces fastened in place before engine install (side panels & rear tub), don't mind the occasional scratch as the pieces will be removed and painted eventually. Just need space in the garage to work around.
