Quick update. I still enjoy my car when its sunny. I got a 3D printer recently and designed/made some custom hubcaps.

Cheers

Lovely detail, as always. This thread is a regular point of reference for me, and I also see it coming up on other forums as a great resource.

Sounds about right. I had 15" G60 wheels on it originally but wanted 13" for more comfort and also to be able to fit stickier tyres at a lower cost.

They fit over the MX5 running gear fine.

10 years on and it still needs tinkering. I did the head gasket, cam seals and water pump this week chasing a couple of leaks.

Also the turbo burnt through my bonnet heat shielding, so a new method was needed short term...

Which actually worked amazingly well! But I have upgraded to a blanket.

Maybe see some of you at Malvern.

Cheers

Good to see someone still about. I'm afraid I am in darkest Norfolk so it's a bit far for me, hope you have a good day

Well there is always something to do.

For example, I fancied a boost gauge then remembered I don't do anything simple like 'buy' a boost guage, so ended up buying an ESP32 dev board with a round screen and coding myself up this to connect to my Megasquirt.

Click for a video.

Shows boost, vac, Coolant temp, AFR, Advance and has indicators for Warm up enrichment, Afterstart enrichment, Table switch status and Launch control status.

I added a passthrough mode too so I can connect my phone to it via wifi and MSDroid can connect to the Megasquirt wirelessly for tuning on the go.

Cheers

Well done - always thought you never did anything simple when complex would do.
