quick release steering wheels
as per title really are they ok for iva as long as the wheel is correct. am talking proper snap off boss not the weld on type

I would say, probably not.
Some testers are funny about steering wheels. At Gillingham the tester wont accept anything except a propper type aproved wheel (Original donor car one)

Don't make life difficult for yourself.
Sierra wheel for IVA, Nice wheel when you get back home. I have a Snapoff on my Sierra. TT

Extract from the IVA manual below:
"This inspection is to ensure that the steering system will ensure easy and safe handling of the vehicle up to the maximum design speed of the vehicle In the case of unmodified Mass Produced vehicles the standards in this section shall be considered to be met. Where evidence suggests that the vehicle has been modified, the examiner shall assess whether the modification would be likely to materially affect the performance of the relevant component or system, and if so, carry out assessment against the RS" Basically if the steering system has been modified he will deem it suitable or not, the other main thing is it must have a padded centre which most aftermarket wheels dont. As said its best to stick with the Sierra wheel and change it after. AndyH
