Default Talon

I met phil from talon the other day and must say I think that we dont cut him enough slack. The two chassis I picked up from him were built to a decent standard and represent good value for money. He beavers away in that shed of his knocking out stuff and developing new ideas and gets very little in recognition for it. I was having a look at his new bodywork plugs and when they are done they will be top notch. An inch extra in the scuttle height to help clear some of the taller lumps, a nose cone with better cooling vents in the top. Then his solution for the mx5 diff mounting , pictures dont do this justice, the box formed diff casing to me is a no brainer making the diff mount in the same proven way the sierra unit is mounted. That and a lot more is going on down there and Phil is stuggling to make ends meet. I do believe its a case of use him or loose him, if he goes it would be a loss for the roadster builders. I cant see anyone filling his boots.

+1 for that. I only met up with Phil for the first time recently when he made some custom made rose jointed front wishbones to make my MK Indy handle and self centre better than MK could make it. Phil has an amazing knowledge of engineering that he willingly shares and inspires great confidence. Lets hope he finds enough business to stay in business.

Just to clear up that I am both Talon's on here. I've been posting as 'Talonmotorsport' since I joined this forum and that is what people have come to know me as on here locostbuilders and Pistonheads even though I've had nothing to do with car racing since 2005.
TalonMotorFabrication was my 2nd ebay shop after I closed the first one under my wifes name, ebay would not let me open another of the same name.
'Talonmotorsport' also gets a few people confused as there is also 'Talon Sports Cars' who can be found on the back page of 'Complete Kit Car' magazine.

I have new MX5 based products that I am currently developing and I will be posting pics and prices in the next 6-8 weeks, after I have sorted the kitchen and bathroom that I've been putting off for the past 5 years.

MX5 diff etc in a standard Sierra chassis with suitable wishbones.
Adjustable suspension brackets for the rear wishbones for toe in/out.
