Edge Trim
Right, I'm getting to the point where I'm covering all the sharp and exposed edges to comply with the IVA test. Some areas I'm not to sure about are the sides of the cockpit, and where it arches back, following the lines of the wheel arch. This is where my 1.2mm aluminium side panel is fitted onto. What have people done in this area to make it pass the minimum radius requirement? All the top trim I've seen is too narrow.

Someone mentioned "P" trim in conversation but cannot remember who,it is shaped as the name suggests and has a large flat surface where you can mount it under flanges etc and top part of the p is round giving a radius.
CBS may be able to help.

I,m in the same boat too, just ordered another load of edge trim....
I,m using the same edge trim I,ve used on the front cycyle wings for the curve part of the cockpit sides ( no SS1 parts , just the GRP tub ). I,m thinking of covering the top rails of the cockpit using some hardboard/ camping mat foam covered in vinyl ( same as dashboard ) & using velcro or maybe even glue it place ( can,t see me ever needing to remove the side panels apart from a crash situation to replace/repair them ) cheers andy

Is there a minium diamater edge trim for things like the cycle wings?
The stuff i've got is quite small, but looks nice and neat and rounds the edges nicely. Hope it's not too small tho

Intially, not enough ( me being tight again )....
I,ve also used it on the edge of the bonnet where it meets the nose & the scuttle.... also used it on the front wing stays, as mine are 5mm plate side supports & the trim finishes them off just nicely. In total, including the extra I,ve just ordered = 10mtrs...but I,ll probably have a bit left over ( didn,t want to run out again ). I,ve also used some of this...on the aeroscreen etc , bought 5mtrs of it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT cheers andy
