Default Cologne V6 sump ?

The 2.9i V6 i have was from a sierra 4x4 so i swapped the 4x4 sump for a 2wd sump, but the 2wd sump has little dimples stick upwards, the 4x4 sump doesnt

Is this how they are and built in spacers or something for the cork gasket?.

oh and i am sure, but i am looking for a sump gasket, the ones i have found are for the 2.8i and the 2.9i are twice the price. as £10-£22, i can use the 2.8i gasket as the same block?

cheers

The original 4x4 sump has to have the spacers in it because the diff is housed in the pan and it needs to done up tight to the block, the spacers allow this without munching up the gasket.
The tin pan with the dimples can use the cork gasket, the dimples are just to stop the gasket spewing out sideways. You will also need the correct pickup tube and dip stick.

Bob, can the oil pick up not be modified from the 4x4 to the RWD sump?
