Default hello from newbie

hi guys,

Just thought id introduce myself.

Iv been sifting through the forum for some time in preparation for my build which will finally get underway in the morning after a year of saving up for everything required. Iv read the book from cover to cover at least a dozen times but im positive ill end up picking your brains at every step!

I havent got a donor yet but im really keen to get the chassis main frame built and intend on cutting and welding the bottom chassis rails tomorow. Iv heard there are some ammendments to certain dimensions in the book, is this true? if so is there a post about these somewhere?

Im really thankful to all forum members already, because without the info iv found on this forum i dont think i would have had the confidence to start such a massive project!

Any way, cheers guys

Nathan

Hi Nathan,

Welcome, indeed there is a list of corrections, but these are for the first run of books, but it pays to be sure, they can be found here http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=2430

Kind regards

John

Hello Nathan,

Welcome and good to see another NE7'er on the build. If you're up in the Teesside area you're quite welcome to visit.

Regards....AndyH

Best bit so far: Getting it running
Worst bit so far: Cutting steel for wishbones and engine mounts.
Most annoying bit so far: Generator packing up half way through welding.

Welcome to the forum,

hope you enjoy the build. Lots of friendly and knowledgable people on here, if in doubt just ask.

Smile Welcome Nathan

Welcome to the forum Nathan

If you are working fron the second edition of the book you should be fine.
You should be able to find out what print version you have by looking on the first page.

Tis still worth checking the ammendment thread though .... There is a very usefull Front frame tutorial there

Enjoy your build & remember, help is just a quick ask away

thnaks for the warm welcome felles

Just finished cutting br1 to br12. Had a hard time cutting the 74 degree angles on br8 and br9 because my mitre saw wouldnt go that far! I ended up using a hacksaw, it took ages but they turned out pretty good.

Just going to set up the lines on the table so i should be welding tommorow!

Nathan
