Got a registration Number!
I phoned the DVLA up today and it has been allocated a ref number
 They have given me the number it's age related, and have said that the have sent out the V948 certificate, but do I have to wait for that to arrive before I drive it. Getting plates made up without the certificate isn't a problem.

do an AskMID or Tax lookup on the reg.
If it's found then I would say your good to go. TT

I got them to send a confirmation email as the guy at the auto shobwanted it, got the plates phone insurance whilst waiting home fitted the plates and off I went
