Any good?
Looked at this deal on the bay a few times, seems a good deal, but has anyone here bought these, and can give a good/bad review? or of course suggest an alernative?

Ordered my set last week on the Wednesday, had them ready to fit on the Friday. It was the cheapest place I could find, better than any of the autofactors we deal with.
Escort RS2000 (Mk2 Escort) TRE fit fine. Plenty of people have used them, and I know SSC sell them for use on the roadster. Cheers Dave

Seem to remember I bought RS2000 TRE from rally design last time round and they didn't fit had to swap them for Sierra ones. I may be going mad.

The RS2000 track rod ends fit the Escort Mk2 rack, metric threads, if you try a Mk1 rack rack they have the imperial threads which they will not fit.
You should be okay......AndyH

Cheers guys, so they will fit, no they won't , yes they will, no they won't, yes they will.
Think I will go for it, then and as long as I get the mk2 escort rack I will be ok. |

It really irritate3s me when they describe RS2000 track rod ends. There is no difference between a 1100L TRE and a RS2000 TRE. As far as I know, all metric TRE's will fit ie. Escort, Cortina, Sierra's all the same tapers, threads etc

On the Sierra rod ends the axis of the rod is is not centered on the ball, it is shifted forwards about 5 mm. Escort rod ends are symmetrical. Also, Sierra rod ends have a triangular protrusion that might cause a radius issue.

I bought the EDS saver pack and it doesn't fit. Spoke to EDS and it would appear these are for Cortina and Capri uprights. The TRE taper is way too small for the taper hole in my diesel Sierra uprights. The drag link doesn't go all the way through the 3GE mushrooms to allow a full nut on. I can't ream them out either because the rubber is already up against the top of the mushroom. It might work if I get the mushrooms turned down a bit more but non access to a lathe was the reason I bought them in the first place.
It never rains but it bloody pours.
