Default new MOT emissions

Been off build for quite a while for various reasons and now thinking about starting again on build. Someone mentioned this new law to me which means disaster to me as bike carb rebuilt on manifold on '92 zetec silvertop..
So this new rules means it's all junk! What sort of second engines are we now supposed to be looking at to Pass Euro6 , is it possible for amatuers to pass such a strict system.
Do I jack it in and buy secondhand car, will this re subject to new law or is it just new builds?

A few things.

It is not law. It was a proposal.

That proposal specifically stated that it wouldn't be to Euro 6.

In fact, all the proposal was doing was making passing the basic emissions test, which is already part of the MOT as it stands today, a requirement. In other words, you would be required to meet the MOT limits of a 2002 onwards engine.

The test methods for emissions in a MOT and any of the Euro stages are very different.

If it were to become part of the IVA, then it wouldn't be applied retrospectively.

Default new emissions

So, if ikeep my current zetec it won't pass on bike carbs even with a cat, would it pass if i put the original efi unit back on with a cat. I have no idea how far apart the two sets of emissions are, is there anywhere to see the difference in tests over the 10 year gap.
thanks for your reply
