Default Off the table

Its been a slow month, then things seem to happen all at once...
Brought an other donor car a Saab 9-3 turbo for engine, electrics etc..
Got the brackets all on, most of welding done & now the chassis onto stands to
get on with mock up of the engine, box & then hopefully the steering..
Got to start taking some pictures

is the saab 9-3 engine suitable ? i know the stud pattern for certain gearboxes fit but what will you do reguards the ecu and ignition system ?
dta or cut n shut the std stuff ? im after doing things as cheap as poss so no dta
were you after a recirc dump valve or an atmospheric ?
im not after dampening your hopes, as anything will work just not sure what your after im after going this route eventually as ash has but plan to use the earlier engine from a saab 9000 as these have an easier trionic system and the atmospheric dump valve

whats your general end spec?

good luck with the donor as my omega was a right pita to get stripped modern cars eh !

congrats on getting it off the table was a nice feeling

It is the B204, a 1999 model, it was going cheap. with a very good engine.
I have got a couple of options, I have been thinking about using all the electronics, but Ive already have megasquirt sitting in a cupboard.
I am using omega r30 gearbox it is supposed to be pretty strong.
And got a GT28RS ball bearing turbo the other week,
should be looking at 380- 400 bhp.
