Default pinto carbs

I have the old carbs on the 2lt pinto engine BUT if i were to add on the filter it would make it very high Can i change the carbs or modify the carbs in such a way that they would have the filter at the side ,just a thought

Pair of twin choke side draughts. (old skool, expensive, done to death)

Or a quad set of bike carbs. ( New age, Cheap, requires a bit more work)
