Default Radiator location.

Hi guys my question is has anyone managed to locate their radiator between the front frame and their engine. I should add that i am going to run with a 1.8 pinto and a polo rad. I have had the engine in but took it out to primer the chassis and then looked at the rad location. Hopefully the engine will be back in place at the weekend so any thoughts would be appreciated

Did it to the Teamtrain one I built with Spud,it had Zetec in it though but think you could do it.

Ive got a zetec in my car and i could definitely fit it in but mounted mine in front of the front frame as it makes access to the alternator/belt easier and gives extra length for coolant hoses.

Thanks for the reply's guys, am hoping to get the engine back in by the weekend, my main problem is that I bought a polo rad for the car and instead of it being top and bottom entry it is top and around 1/3 of the way up the rad and this lines up perfectly in line with the frame, so it's dry assembly of engine and gearbox and see what it looks like.
