i don't see why so many people do away with crankcase proper crankcase ventilation.

its not hard to fit and is quiet important for the life and running of your engine and you can even gain an odd hp if you get it right or louse a few by getting it wrong (glass half full and all that)

best invention for the long life of an engine was a thing called a PCV valve
it basically lets a small amount of gas from the lower crankcase bleed into the inlet under vacuum conditions (anywhere below full throttle) and the top half has a filtered vent to allow clean air in.
this way you get all them things you don't want messing your oil up out (moisture,acid,dirt,unburnt fuel and so on)
no catch tank needed no oil escape

i have my itb setup useing a PCV valve and it works fine just had to make a manifold to join it all up to the orignal zetec stuff
